'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first important achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
